Luan Mitchell-Halter Inspires Students

As part of the Saskatchewan Learning’s Centennial Speakers Bureau, LuAn
Mitchell-Halter, experienced entrepreneur, business executive, author,
motivational speaker, philanthropist, mother and wife will share her
experiences and advice for achieving success with University of Saskatchewan
Commerce students.

“There seem to be old ideas that there are no opportunities in Saskatchewan,
particularly for entrepreneurs,” Mitchell-Halter said. “I am a woman who had
success in business in this province, and I am certainly not alone. The
province and its people are growing, and our future truly is wide open.”

Mitchell-Halter will address more than 200 students from a College of Commerce
Government Policy class. A Saskatchewan native, Mitchell-Halter is recognized
both locally and internationally for her entrepreneurial successes.

The Centennial Speakers Bureau was created by Learning Minister Andrew Thomson
to bring the stories of Saskatchewan’s past, present and future alive.
Saskatchewanians and expatriates who have excelled in a field related to the
social, cultural, political or economic development of our province, or our
country, have been nominated by their peers to participate in the Centennial
Speakers Bureau.
