I was teaching the Grade 8 unit about Cells. One day I was conducting a lesson about how our cells grow in number, but not size. I asked the students what evidence they could think of to prove that this is the case. I received answers such as "we grow taller" and "our wounds heal." Then one boy put up his hand and said, "It's obvious in my granddad, his nose and ears are HUGE!"
