The Petroleum Communication
Foundation
The Petroleum Communication Foundation (PCF) is a national non-profit organization founded in 1975 to create awareness and understanding of how our national petroleum industry operates, and the role of the industry and its products and by-products in the daily lives of Canadians.
They provide balanced, factual, and timely information on virtually all aspects of the Canadian petroleum industry to the general public, students, educators, employees of petroleum companies and related industries, government representatives, and the media.
Based in Calgary, Alberta, the PCF is a non-advocacy organization which collaborates with all sectors of the petroleum industry including exploration, production, drilling, marketing, transmission, refining, and service and supply companies, as well as other stakeholder groups who value a healthy petroleum sector.
They identify important industry issues in consultation with members of the petroleum industry, industry associations, governments, and community members and then implement timely public communication and education programs to heighten awareness. Through this broad input, they seek to gain consensus amongst all stakeholders, enabling them to provide credible, balanced information about the Canadian petroleum industry.
The PCF is currently building a comprehensive elementary and secondary education program that will cover all aspects of the Canadian petroleum industry.
Visiy the PCF for more information.
